Hungry for Holiness

The Word of God talks a lot about holiness. The Word ‘Holy’ is throughout the pages of Scripture, both New and Old Testaments, as well as a range of related words. It’s not a truth we can ignore or side-line; nor is it a truth we should devalue and despise.

In our generation, holiness is something that has become looked down upon or cheapened, including in the church. We haven’t valued it like we should. Many have moved away from the scriptural truth of holiness and look down on the concept, as if it’s ‘not relevant’ or ‘not for us’.

The reality is that it is a valuable Scriptural truth and contains incredible revelation of keys to walking in higher realms with God, including in His manifest glory.

It’s time to see the value of holiness and even become hungry for it in our lives. It’s time to revive the truth of holiness that has almost become lost to our generation.

Yes, we have been ‘forgiven’, but many have not recognised what it is to be cleansed…made clean. And then valuing that cleanness and seeing why it’s so important to God. Truths about being clean and pure seem to have become lost to many in the church. The trend has become ‘I can do what I like, have anything in my life and just rely on God to forgive me because He is gracious and merciful’.

However, anyone who is serious about God, about understanding the Word of God and wanting to grow in Him, as well as be a vessel that His glory, presence and power manifests and flows through cannot ignore holiness. Holiness is a vital part of walking in higher levels of God’s glory. We need to value being holy like God values being holy and see what it means to Him and why it is so important to Him.

Being clean, pure and holy are not popular truths. They are for the hungry. The ones who are willing to pay any price, lay aside anything that hinders and cry out to the Lord for purity in their lives. For those who desire to be a pure clean Temple for the Spirit of God and the Glory of God.

For many, Christianity has become a place where they insist that they don’t have to change. Scriptures about price, cost and carrying our cross have become despised verses that many preachers even avoid. People hold on to areas of their lives that even God ‘isn’t allowed’ to talk to them about. They want to close off parts of their lives to Him and live a type of Christianity which is only allowed to affect some areas of their lives, while they insist that the other areas are ‘not to be talked about and don’t challenge me on that’.

This course is for those who want to stand up and say, ‘Lord, there’s no area of my life that is out of bounds to You. There’s no area I’m not willing to change in. There’s no area I want to be closed to Your Word and Your Spirit. If change is needed, if a price needs to be paid, then I want it. I desire to offer my body, my life, my entire being as a living sacrifice to you. A holy sacrifice. A clean and pure sacrifice. A vessel that You can saturate in Your glory and manifest through how You desire to’

The course will examine truths like:

  • What does being holy mean to God?
  • We call God Holy, but what does that mean?
  • What is the desire of God’s heart for His people?
  • What is the difference between righteousness and holiness?
  • Defining words like holy, sanctified, clean, unclean, pure, defiled.
  • What holiness is and what it is not
  • Do I need to be holy in order to receive Jesus?
  • We are made Holy when we receive Jesus, but what does that mean and should it have any impact on my day to day life, my choices and what I yield to in my life?
  • What is the concept of ‘cleansed’ all about in scripture? Why does the Bible talk about being made clean, rather then just use the term ‘forgiven’?
  • What are truths like sanctified, cleansed, pure all about?
  • What about words like defile?
  • Is there any value to my life to living clean?
  • Holiness, God’s Presence and God’s glory
  • Holy vessels for God’s presence
